It's important to know the name of the company that manufactured your aerobic septic system. Each manufacturer trains and certifies septic service providers to repair and maintain their aerobic septic system model. Knowing your system's manufacturer and model number can save you time and money by allowing you to confirm that the service provider is qualified to repair your system in the event of problems or system failure.

All aerobic septic system manufacturers provide a nameplate to identify thier company. This plate will either be located on the control panel or somewhere on a visible (above ground) part of one of the system's access ports.

If the identification plate is missing, you can try contacting your current maintenance provider who should be able to tell you the manufacturer's name. If you just bought your home, contact the prior owner to learn the name of your system or the name of the previous service provider.
